Roger Wilkinson - Bass

Roger began his appreciation and learning of music at five years old with the Salvation Army. He played the cornet in the Junior Band and then the Senior Band. He later joined the British Legion and Appleby Frodingham Works bands playing for competitions and concerts. At fourteen he won the North of England Trumpet Championship. He was a member of Scunthorpe Youth Orchestra and with them broadcast on BBC Radio. Until his voice broke he sang in several choirs and only took up singing again with Scunthorpe Male Voice Choir in 1986.
