Alan Lees
Alan works as a family doctor in Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire where he's lived for the past 25 years. He and his wife, Josie, have three children who are now independent. Alan's father encouraged him to sing and play the piano from the age of 5, and he later played various brass instruments in the school band. From the age of 8 Alan sang in the local church choir along with his father, three brothers and sister. At the age of 13 Alan became church organist for 5 years before leaving home for university, then music took a back seat for several years until he settled in Scunthorpe. Alan resumed singing and playing the organ in 1985. He has been Church Organist since 1992 and has sung with Scunthorpe Male Voice Choir, Scunthorpe and District Choral Society, and is currently singing 2nd Bass with The Lydian Choir, a 30 strong mixed-voice chamber choir.
