South Carolina
Thanks to our fellow countryman, Michael, for opening his home to all eight of us for the time we spent in South Carolina. For the gig in Georgetown we must thank Trudy Bazemore and Dwight McInvaill of Georgetown Library, the Friends of Georgetown Library and to the Swampfox Players for the use of the Strand Theatre for our concert in Georgetown. In Myrtle Beach our thanks to Mark Chaney of Trinity Church for inviting us to sing in morning service.
| We arrived at Michael's late Wednesday night and had a lazy day on Thursday. | ||||
| Another free day, this time spent in the old city of Charleston. | ||||
| Concert day. The Strand Theatre is a good example of an Arte Deco building. The Georgetown Swampfox Players bought it some years ago and are making a wonderful job of lovingly restoring it. | ||||
| This was our third visit to Trinity Episcopal Church, Myrtle Beach, where we sang during the Eucharist Service. | ||||
| The same day, we returned to Myrtle Beach to experience Dolly
Parton's Dixie Stampede. We're sure there will be a repeat visit in
2011! PS. More than one of us took a picture of this pretty Southern Belle. Hope she doesn't mind us adding her picture to the site. |
