Virginia May 9-13

Problems at Atlanta airport for our flights up to Richmond, Virginia! Yvonne and David & Ann got stung a few dollars each for having overweight baggage.

Rehearsing Ashokan Farewell   First stop, after picking up our van, was Tony & Alice Anne Ellis' home. Tony was to play with us in Williamsburg the next evening and this would be our only rehearsal.

We had a really good concert in Williamsburg Regional Library Theatre, thanks to Director of Programmes, Patrick Golden.

Jamestown 400, May 10-12

This was three days of pleasurable hard work (if that makes sense?)! We performed each day, either on one of the sound stages or busking around the festival site. We were privileged to be one of only two British groups invited to perform at this celebration and one of only a few of the many entertainers attending to be invited to perform on each of the three days. It was here that George came into his own and really took charge, organizing CD sales, liaising with the stage managers and sound technicians, making sure we were on time and gave us the opportunity to concentrate on performance. Thanks to Marcia Brecker of Prosody Creative Services. Highlight day of the weekend was Sunday when we saw President Bush and performed to concert goers as they left the Park at the end of this marvelous occasion.
