2007 Tour
Almost two years of planning was now over but not without complications; firstly, Ian leaving Fourum and having to find a replacement (which we did in David Hand) and the shattering news that Roger's wife Anne was diagnosed with an illness which needed immediate treatment and would prevent her accompanying Roger on the tour. Roger was left with a decision to make that none of us would have wanted to make; however, Anne was insistent that he should make the tour and tour he did! By the way, Anne is undergoing treatment and doing very well.
Georgia, May 5-9
| As always we began in
North Georgia with our dear friends in Dahlonega; we thank Carol & Fred,
Bill & Mary Beth and John & Betty Lane for their hospitality once
again. Straight in at the deep end, we sang in the morning service at Dahlonega Baptist Church the next day (thanks to Chuck Eiland, Minister of Music). |
||||
| The same evening we sang a full concert in nearby Dawsonville First Baptist Church (thanks to Minister of Music, Stan Lovell). | ||||
| Two 'rest days' followed. The first spent in Chattanooga, Tennessee with visits to the Aquarium, the 'Choo-Choo' and a ride on the amazing Incline Railway to the top of Look-out Mountain. | ||||
| Our final day in Dahlonega saw Keith, David & Ann, Yvonne and George trying to make their fortunes in the gold mines... | ||||
